About Us
Our Incarcerated Brothers and Sisters Need Your Support.
Assalaamu ‘alaikum (Peace be unto you) السَّلامُ عَلَيكُم
At Muslim Prisoner Project, we strive to never forget our brothers and sisters who happen to be prison inmates. We understand that their mistakes don’t define them and that they are just as human as the next man or woman despite their mistakes. We want them to know that we are with them, that we hear them, and that we care, not only about them, but about their children as well. For far too long, the children of inmates have suffered in silence due to limited access to their incarcerated loved ones.
Muslim Prisoner Project aims to broaden the scope of that access from mere phone calls and possible, if any, far spread-out visits to receiving actual gifts at least two times a year via our Eid Toy Chest program. Muslim Prisoner Project also aims to empower the inmate him/herself through providing quality Islamic literature that they would otherwise not have access to. So, please take a moment to learn more about Muslim Prisoner Project and what we do and don’t forget to do your part by donating to the cause.
Why Is Our Work Important?
- Maintains a bond between incarcerated parent and child.
- Alleviates proven trauma and stress that children with incarcerated parents experience.
- Keeps the children connected to Islam in case their caretaker is not Muslim (which is oftentimes the case).
- Stops incarcerated Muslims from being forced to go to Christian prison-based organizations in order to provide gifts to their children by any means necessary.
- Puts a smile on the faces and hearts of all parties involved.
- Provides yet another means of getting to Jannah!

Your support provides the latest high quality books and literature to inmates.
If you are an author or publisher and interested in having your work featured, contact us. Your work could reach hundreds, if not thousands, of incarcerated Muslims and non-Muslims, uplifting their spirits and enriching their souls. Right now, many prison libraries are filled with outdated donated books that are old and worn. Let’s change that today!
